IT Intern (Bothell, WA)

Romac seeks an Intern for short term employment to help with Windows client computer setup and administration. Romac uses a Windows 2003 Domain as the primary client platform. We require a knowledgeable Windows administrator to help our current administrator.

The basic task is care of client Windows computers: installing operating systems, connecting them to the network, installing applications and fixing client computers that may have malware or component failures. Skills in the various Windows management tools are a big plus (powershell, vbscript, etc..) If you have the ability to script mass changes to the client base using Active Directory and the administration tools you will be more highly valued.

Romac has several in house applications, the ability to understand and program in VBA, VB, ASP.NET and write SQL to extract data from an Oracle Database further enhance your chances of employment at Romac.

1. Capable of installing Windows operating systems (Vista and XP Pro)
2. Capable of installing Windows Applications, Office, Oracle Client Software, email access, and others.
3. Capable of installing hard disks, video cards, memory etc..
4. Capable of configuring Windows Client computers, desktop icons, application shortcuts.
5. Capable of repairing or reinstalling Windows on computers, transferring data, shortcuts, etc.
6. Capable of monitoring a Windows Update Server and approving updates.
7. Capable of Understanding of Active Directory and Windows 2003 Domains, adding users, changing passwords, etc.
8. Fluency in Powershell a plus.
9. Fluency in VB for applications and Excel Macros a plus.
10. Ability to replace hard drives, video cards, etc. a plus.
11. Understanding of the Citrix Environment a plus.
12. Understanding of Virtual Machines (XenCenter) a plus.
13. Linux Administration skills a plus.
14. Knowledge of Oracle (v10.2.0.3) a plus; ie: ability to read/write SQL, etc.
15. Knowledge of ASP.NET (v3.5) a plus.
16. Knowledge of SQL Server (v7 and 2003) is also a plus.
