NON-CATALOG ROMAC REPAIR ITEMS

The list below describes some Romac products (which don't appear in the Romac Catalog) which may be used for pipe repair.

FS420 (and FS419 for plastic pipe): the FS420 is a FTS420 without the flanged outlet. You have to know the amount of damage to the pipe or the amount of damage must not be large than the neck gasket (i.e. if you have a FS420-17.87 X 8 the damage should not be larger than 8 inch circle). These can also be made out of all stainless steel (SS420).

FTS421: The high pressure version of the FS420. It has stiffening ribs on the body.

FS425: A split coupling (aka a split sleeve) and it can repair pipe that has full circumferential damage. We can basically make these for any size and pressure.

FS425S: Like the FS425 (a split coupling), but with the ability to go up and over an obstruction such as a bell, a coupling, a corp-stop or what ever else is in the way. We will need to know the dimensions of the obstruction (OD and length) and pressure requirements.

Service Saddles: Service saddles can be used as repair devices. Much like the FS420, the damage can not exceed the ID of the gasket. If the saddle is tapped it can be plugged or a corp-stop can be installed which makes it very nice if the water can not be turned off. The ductile or bronze saddles can be sold with out a hole in the casting.

Tapping Sleeves: Tapping sleeves can also be used to repair damaged pipe. A blind flange has to be installed on the tapping sleeve flange and again the damage should not go beyond the ID of the neck gasket.

Combined Repair Clamps: Combine repair clamps to make a larger clamp. In emergencies when people don’t have a large enough clamp they will put smaller clamps together to make a larger clamp. Romac can not warranty the performance of these clamps. If this is something that has to be attempted call Romac and we can explain how to put these together and what the range might be.

Stack Clamps: We can make repair clamps that allow you to put one clamp next to another, making a longer clamp. We offset the mat gasket two inches so that the clamps can be butt together without leaking. You can stack as many of these clamps together as needed.
